Christmas Morning

It is a tradition of ours to always take a picture of the kids waiting on the stairs to come down to open presents. Dylann had other plans, she did not want to wait. So this is our picture for this year of Dylann ''waiting'' to come down Christmas Morning.Opening presents, its a dress. Getting ready to open princess shoes, that we got from the dollar store, well they broke that day. I guess we need to fork out a little more money to get some better ones. They were cheap shoes, but she was really happy, and that's what matters. One of her favorites, its Tinker Bell,This video is of Dylann, we are trying to get her really excited, we think she was so over whelmed, that she didn't really know how to act.

Later at my sister, Margos house. We had a big lunch and lots of food, and of course more presents. Margo got a massager for her husband, and lets just say the girls used it a lot more then my brother in law did. Taking turns, it was so funny. Dylann got the Snow White outfit from her nana Manookin, She had to where it all day, and there was no other way around it. She loves to be a princess. We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We were sad that we couldn't spend it in Utah with our family out there, since it is there year this year. We really did miss our Utah family, but are greatful that we have family here in Ohio, since we are not aloud to travel. We are so grateful for all of our family, and all the wonderful things they do for us. Dylann had a wonderful Christmas, she got a little too spoiled. She now everyday wants to open more presents. She wraps all her toys in blankest, or wipes to give people presents. Then she wants you to wrap it back up and then give it back to her.
We are glad that Christmas is hear and gone. We love the celebrations, but now we are getting geared up for the next big event coming up in February. Lets just hope that we can go at least 6 more weeks.

31 Weeks

So it is official, 31 weeks is not the best week of good news for me and being pregnant. When I was pregnant with Dylann at 31 weeks, the doctors made me go straight to the hospital. I had to stay there for a week and then I had Dylann at 32 weeks, she was 3lbs. 13oz. I had toxemia, where your body decides that it doesn't like the baby and tries to fight it off. Well of course the baby always wins, so it starts to hurt the mothers body.
Well I just went to the doctors, just for a check up. Well my blood pressure is up! (its one of the many signs of toxemia). They worry about high blood pressure for a couple of reasons. Like toxemia for one, and also after awhile of having high blood pressure, the placenta could start to deteriorate. They took a lot of other test and came up with some things that I have to do now.
1.take blood pressure meds
2.6 hours of bed rest a day on my side (i don't have to do it all at once)
3.come in 2 times a week for a 'non' stress test
4.lots of blood, and urine testing
5.weight checks
At first it was a lot to take in, b/c I feel great. I feel like I can do what ever I wanted right now. I have tons of energy, and am really ready to party with the family for Christmas. At first I was really mad, like 'why is this happening?'. Well I can't answer that one question, but what I can answer is that I am so grateful that it is this and not what happened last time.
I can be home with my little girl.
I can still move around half of the time.
I am not 'sick' yet.
Things could be worse, I could have toxemia right now and be in the hospital for Christmas. I could be having a baby right now. (we are totally not ready, and very unhealthy for the baby). So all I can do is do what the doctor says to do. Dylann gets to watch a movie everyday now, and I get to read all the time. And hey I wont have to do as much cleaning as I would normally. (it could be a good thing or a bad thing).
I am so so grateful, and count my many blessings everyday. Thank you for all your support.

Little prayers,

This just happened, and I thought it was so sweet and so funny. I had to blog about it right away. We just ate dinner, and for some reason Dylann always wants to eat just the salad and non of the real food. We have been trying to get her to eat all her dinner so she knows that she needs to eat everything. (even the things she doesn't like)
We were trying to bribe her with a cookie to eat the rest of her food. She still didn't want to eat anything but salad, which she already finished. She still wanted a cookie without eating the rest of her dinner. Well long story short she didn't eat her dinner so we didn't give her a cookie, I know we are such mean parents.
Well I just put her to bed and she was still crying about not getting a cookie. I was trying to calm her down so we can say her prayer. This is what happened.
mommy-dear Heavenly Father
Dylann-Heavenly Father
mommy-thank you for this day
Dylann-thank you day
mommy- please bless mommy
Dylann-please Dylann
mommy-please bless Dylann
Dylann-please Dylann,
please Dylann,

(mommy trying not to laugh)
Dylann-please Dylann cookie mommy?
(crying)
mommy-and we say these things
Dylann-please Dylann cookie
mommy-and we say these things
Dylann-Jesus Christ amen, mommy cookie please.
I know I am so mean but I still didn't give her a cookie after all of that.

Baking with Mommy!

So I have been really craving cookies lately. My aunt gave me the best cookie recipe that makes a ton of cookies. We were done with all of our Sunday activitys early, like church, and eating with my family. I thought it would be a great idea to bake with Dylann. She always sees her cousins' cooking with there mom so she has really wanted to cook with me. It was very stressful, messy, and the most fun I have had cooking in a long time. She doesn't get that its ok to get messy, and that your hands are going to get slimy (when you don't have an amazing kitchen aid, and only a hand mixer that doesn't work very good). All and all she had so much fun, and they turned out wonderful. trying to fix the hand mixer fixing the hand mixer again giving up on the hand mixer and using our hands instead, she doesn't really like to get her hands dirty. She would put her hands in the cookie dough and then take them out and wipe them off. I was trying to teach her how to roll the cookies, instead she would grab some and throw it on the pan. her master peace.I am glad that I decided it was ok and didn't stress out, that there was going to be a big mess and that she needed a bath afterwards. I knew that Danny was going to clean up after. I was able to enjoy my little Dylann with all her sillyness.

Dylann dresses herself

My little girl is to funny for words. I know that's what every mother says, but she really does the funniest things. The only way we can get her dressed in the morning is if we call all her cloths "princess cloths". She wont put them on if we don't, or she will try her hardest to take them off. Well her favorite thing to ware is dresses. Mondays are the worst b/c that's all she wants to put on. She is very funny about being a princess. She always tries to put on the dress she had on the day before, but of course it is dirty from eating and rolling around like little ones always do. Also it is really cold out side so I don't let her where dresses other than Sunday b/c she just seem to get sick to easily. Well so they other day I was just finishing up her laundry, I had it all in the basket needing to be put away. I left the room for just a little bit and this is what I find... She really has a mind of her own. She doesn't know really how to take her shirt off and has a hard time taking her pants off b/c they get caught on the diaper in the back. She found another way to put her dress on. She thought that she was the best, that she just did the greatest thing in the world. I might be a little partial, but I think that she is the greatest.

Getting ready for Christmas!!!

This year has been so fun for Danny and I, we have been planning on it for a long time. We already have all the shopping done!!! I know we are crazy. We love to put all the Christmas stuff up the Saturday after Thanksgiving and listen to Christmas music while doing it. Well for some reason we couldn't find any of our Christmas Cd's, and as we were looking for them we found the sound tracks for Aladdin and Little Mermaid. So we listened to Aladdin, and Dylann was so excited she kept saying "watchie Jasmin, watchie Jasmin." She sat on the couch in front of the TV for a little while until she realized that the movie wasn't on and it was just the music. She wasn't very happy about that. Once it was time to put the ornaments on the tree, she was so happy again. She loved taking them from me and putting them in the same spot. Until Danny stepped in and took over. He would hold her up and tell her where to put them.
It was just as good, to her. We have been having such a great time with getting ready for Christmas this year. Every year Danny and I argue about whos year is it to put the star on top. So this year we thought it would be fun for Dylann to do it. She of course wanted to put it on first and couldn't wait, so we had to distract her with the ornaments untill it was time to put it on. She had the biggest smile the whole time, laughing with glee.
We had my mom come over last night so we could go Christmas shopping with out Dylann. If she saw all the toys in the cart she would think she was getting them right away and we just didn't want to have to deal with a fight. We had so much fun, looking for all the things that Dylann is into right now. I find that shopping for your kids is a lot more fun then shopping for your husband (sorry Danny). At least we made a really strict budget about how much we were going to spend this year on her. So strict that we only brought cash and no card with us. Well we got so much stuff that we were surprised with how cheep things can be sometimes. Well I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas. We love you all and miss you.
(I know she is naked in all these pictures, all her cloths were getting washed, sorry)

Thanksgiving

We had the best Thanksgiving. With lots of friends, family, and a lot of people I didn't know. My uncle is the bishop of a singles ward, so we have all the singles come have thanksgiving with us. (the ones that are not going home)
We have such a big group of people that we just have thanksgiving at one of the Church buildings. So then after dinner we can all go into the gym and play dodge ball. Its really fun. I of course couldn't play this year but it was still fun to watch. Dylann wanted to be apart of everything. She had a ball she didn't want to ever give up. She was so funny. So here are some of the pictures.
Dylann and her best friend, Alora. The kids table, all the cousins and friends. Dylann and Kalee. (holding the balls that they didn't want to ever give up) Dylann had to get in the action and play with her daddy.Doesn't want to give it up I love my family so much, and I am so glad that I was able to get together with most of them. We were still missing a brother, aunt and uncle with there 5 kids, and all my in-laws.
I wish everyone could have been there. I love Thanksgiving and I am so grateful for so many wonderful things. Here are just a few, not in any order.
