sick little girl

Dylann has been so sick for over a week now.
That is the longest she has ever been sick. We finally took her to the dr. on Thursday.
She would not stop throwing up and we were getting really worried about her.
They put her on some anti nausea meds, which worked perfect. They said if she were to throw up one more time, we would have to take her back to be put on an IV drip. Thank goodness she didn't. She started to get a little better. Even eating for the first time in a week.
(like the throw up bucket?)
Well Sunday morning we woke up to this.
She had a horrible allergic reaction to the meds. By Sunday afternoon it looked like this
 Sorry for the bum shot
It only got worse, It was basically all over her body
There was more rash then there was skin.
We took her to urgent care on Sunday night, They put her on a different med to make it all go away.
Well we are on it now for 3 days and it is so much better.
The rash is almost all gone, it is mostly on her legs and arms now.
Now if she can only stop itching we will be set.

New Beds/Crazy sleepers

We all got new beds!! Yea I know crazy right. Well let me tell you, it was so needed. Our mattress was so super old, we had a little help from family. Dylann was growing out of her bed and Bruce needed a big boy bed. So we took a drive down to Ikea, my favorite store, and got us a new bed frame that we have wanted for a couple of years. We LOVE it.
The first night this is what we found when we came up to go to bed.
My in laws bought the kids new bed frames. Danny was so good and put all the beds together by himself.
with a little bit of help...

Dylann showing off her new bed, she loves it and can't wait to sleep in it every night. So Danny and I tease her and tell her we are sleeping in her bed. She just laughs and climbs up on us. My mom was so amazing and bought Dylanns mattress.
This was the first night with both beds, and this is how we found both of the kids.

The next night Bruce figured out that he can get out of bed now and he can just waited for us at the top of the stairs and he fell asleep. It was really cute to find him like this.
The very next night he really wanted to be comfortable. So he brought out his blanket and frog.
A different night, Wow my kids really don't know how to sleep
After putting Bruce back into bed.
I am so grateful for my family, Thank you so much for all your help and for all your support. I am so glad that I get to spend all my time with my 2 crazy kids. Can't wait to see how they are sleeping tonight

Dylanns first day of preschool

Dylanns first day of preschool was Sept 12. She couldn't wait. She has been talking about preschool all summer and was so excited. I was really excited for her but deep down I was praying she would be happy and love it. I was worried that she was going to have a major freak out, or pee her pants, or hate it. Well she was totally fine.

They have this drop off line, they just come to the car and take your kid out and walk them to class. Danny came with us for the first day, Dylann got out of the car like it wasn't a big deal at all. She said by and walked right in. I started bawling the moment we starting driving. I made Danny take another drive by to make sure she made it in ok.
She was so happy, she asks if we can go to school every day. I am so glad she loves it. When I pick her up, I ask her what she did and the first thing she says is 'we didn't paint, we didn't go out side' they don't go out if its raining. But I guess she really wants to paint bc it is an everyday thing. She is to funny.
Love you Dylann I am so proud of you!!

Cosi

Over Labor day we went to Cosi, its this awesome science hands on museum, for kids. This is the first time we went and it was so worth it. We had so much fun. Dylann was running all over the place she couldn't wait to get to the next thing. Bruce was just in shock at everything.

We had so much fun. We will have to go back.

What we have been up to

I haven't had a real post for a long time. There has been so many things going on in the Palmer house hold. I wont bore you with a million pictures. So I will just so you a couple so you can see what we have been up too.
We went up to Michigan for a week. It was so great. I went up with my 2 sisters and all of our kids, there is 8 kids between the 3 of us. My aunt lives up there and has a pool so we spent some days at the pool. The kids loved it!!
Of course we spent all the rest of the time at the beach, and Dylann couldn't be happier. She was so happy to play in the sand, but ask her to go into the water, no way.
I finally got around to giving Bruce a hair cut. He was sporting a mullet for awhile. Now he has a cute little fohawk.
Another thing we have been up to is lots and lots of bubbles. We have gone through tons of bottles of bubbles. They can't get enough of it.
We also go to the zoo a lot. Even though it has been so HOT, we still go. We have to get out of the house. One thing that was totally awesome the last time we went they had flamingos out so people could pet. They were so cool. They were so nice. Dylann thought it was the best thing ever. Now all she wants to see is the flamingos.
We have been very busy. With lots of summer cleaning, instead of spring cleaning. Dylann is starting preschool soon. She can't wait for the school bus to take her. The school bus isn't taking her, its what makes her happy. Life is crazy but we love it!!

Day 30, Hair through the years

Hair through the years
I know lame I didn't do another really cool style, Life is a little to crazy for me to think up some awesome things. So I thought I would show you some of the different ways I have done my hair since I started beauty school. This is more of the color side and cut side then the style side.
First is my wedding hair. My sister Mallory did my hair for my wedding. She has just started a hair blog check it out. here
This is a color that I did, but you can't really tell in the picture, but its so cool. Its black with blue highlights. I loved this.
This color didn't turn out that great. but its a star on my head and the star is blond. I am with John Paul, the owner of Paul Mitchell
With my new niece, She is now 5, I have blond under my bangs, and blond peekaboo in the back
This is my craziest hair style ever. Not only is it the shortest I have ever gone, but its crazy. Don't mind the blood. It was Halloween. I did Danny's and my make up.
 Short and Brown
Brown with carmel highlights, growing it out.
Now with my long hair. Now I just add clip in extensions when ever I want to do anything crazy.
Thanks so much for sticking with me. I love doing hair. I am not going to be turning this into a hair blog, I just wanted to challenge myself. I will add pics if I get any new ideas.

Day 29, Beehive braid

Beehive braid,
Life is really crazy and I haven't had any time at all to do my hair, life sometimes likes to throw curve balls at you to keep you humble. Anyways so I thought I would post a pic of some hair that I have done. This is my sister Mallory. We were just hanging out and I started playing with her hair and this is what I came up with.
I don't think in a million years I would ever be able to do this on myself, but doing it on someone else yes. She slept on this the night before so it is a little fuzzy, but I think it adds to it. I just started at the top front, the bangs. Parted a circle around her head, and braided and made one braid all the way around her head.

Day 28, Halo Braid

Halo Braid
I am really excited about this one. It has taken me this whole time to get this braid and its not even as good as it could be. I have done this braid on Dylann a million times, it is so easy to do on other people. Doing it on your self is another story!!
Its a french braid all the way around your head.
I am very happy that I have been able to FINALLY do this braid on myself

Day 27, curly twist

Curly Twist
After I spent a good 20 mins on my hair, it was all done and the way I liked it, I find out that it looks a lot like a Sunday Style on day 16. I promise you I did something different.
I curled my hair, and used the curls to pin up my hair, no hair ties. I added a little flower. I was happy with it and didn't have time to change it b/c I had to get to work. Sorry. It was put together different but, looks the same.

Day 26, Headband

Headband
Today was a pony tail kind of day. I thought why not do something with a headband. Headbands are really big right now, all the stars are wearing them now.
I just added a lot of body in the back, and did a fun bun, with the headband.
Simple, easy, fun

Day 25, Madien braids and beehive

Maiden Braids plus a small beehive
I did the Maiden braids and the beehive before. I hated the maiden braids on me, I love them on other people, just not me. I loved the beehive, I am totally going to be doing that style again. I thought I would combine it together.
It is super easy. Start out with a beehive, pin it just like you would if you were going to keep your hair down. Then take the rest of the hair and split it, making braid pigtails. Then pin them up and over.
I really liked this and I think I will be doing this one again.

Day 24, Crimped

Crimped
Today I did a little rock star. I used my crimper.
I washed my hair and blow dried it. I didn't straighten my hair I just left it going a little crazy. I just added some crimp throughout the hair. I just did peaces, and started some half way down my hair.
I added a little braid in the front to add a little extra. If you don't have a crimper, you can braid your hair at night and then take them out in the morning.
