Dylann dresses herself

My little girl is to funny for words. I know that's what every mother says, but she really does the funniest things. The only way we can get her dressed in the morning is if we call all her cloths "princess cloths". She wont put them on if we don't, or she will try her hardest to take them off. Well her favorite thing to ware is dresses. Mondays are the worst b/c that's all she wants to put on. She is very funny about being a princess. She always tries to put on the dress she had on the day before, but of course it is dirty from eating and rolling around like little ones always do. Also it is really cold out side so I don't let her where dresses other than Sunday b/c she just seem to get sick to easily. Well so they other day I was just finishing up her laundry, I had it all in the basket needing to be put away. I left the room for just a little bit and this is what I find... She really has a mind of her own. She doesn't know really how to take her shirt off and has a hard time taking her pants off b/c they get caught on the diaper in the back. She found another way to put her dress on. She thought that she was the best, that she just did the greatest thing in the world. I might be a little partial, but I think that she is the greatest.

Getting ready for Christmas!!!

This year has been so fun for Danny and I, we have been planning on it for a long time. We already have all the shopping done!!! I know we are crazy. We love to put all the Christmas stuff up the Saturday after Thanksgiving and listen to Christmas music while doing it. Well for some reason we couldn't find any of our Christmas Cd's, and as we were looking for them we found the sound tracks for Aladdin and Little Mermaid. So we listened to Aladdin, and Dylann was so excited she kept saying "watchie Jasmin, watchie Jasmin." She sat on the couch in front of the TV for a little while until she realized that the movie wasn't on and it was just the music. She wasn't very happy about that. Once it was time to put the ornaments on the tree, she was so happy again. She loved taking them from me and putting them in the same spot. Until Danny stepped in and took over. He would hold her up and tell her where to put them.
It was just as good, to her. We have been having such a great time with getting ready for Christmas this year. Every year Danny and I argue about whos year is it to put the star on top. So this year we thought it would be fun for Dylann to do it. She of course wanted to put it on first and couldn't wait, so we had to distract her with the ornaments untill it was time to put it on. She had the biggest smile the whole time, laughing with glee.
We had my mom come over last night so we could go Christmas shopping with out Dylann. If she saw all the toys in the cart she would think she was getting them right away and we just didn't want to have to deal with a fight. We had so much fun, looking for all the things that Dylann is into right now. I find that shopping for your kids is a lot more fun then shopping for your husband (sorry Danny). At least we made a really strict budget about how much we were going to spend this year on her. So strict that we only brought cash and no card with us. Well we got so much stuff that we were surprised with how cheep things can be sometimes. Well I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas. We love you all and miss you.
(I know she is naked in all these pictures, all her cloths were getting washed, sorry)

Thanksgiving

We had the best Thanksgiving. With lots of friends, family, and a lot of people I didn't know. My uncle is the bishop of a singles ward, so we have all the singles come have thanksgiving with us. (the ones that are not going home)
We have such a big group of people that we just have thanksgiving at one of the Church buildings. So then after dinner we can all go into the gym and play dodge ball. Its really fun. I of course couldn't play this year but it was still fun to watch. Dylann wanted to be apart of everything. She had a ball she didn't want to ever give up. She was so funny. So here are some of the pictures.
Dylann and her best friend, Alora. The kids table, all the cousins and friends. Dylann and Kalee. (holding the balls that they didn't want to ever give up) Dylann had to get in the action and play with her daddy.Doesn't want to give it up I love my family so much, and I am so glad that I was able to get together with most of them. We were still missing a brother, aunt and uncle with there 5 kids, and all my in-laws.
I wish everyone could have been there. I love Thanksgiving and I am so grateful for so many wonderful things. Here are just a few, not in any order.

Richard Simmons look a like!!!

I really want to try out the sponge curlers again on her hair, b/c they didn't really work for Halloween. The only way she will let me put them in is if I let her watch 'fishy princess' (little mermaid). Well they worked a little too well at first. her hair was so tight in curls it was so funny. She really didn't want us to take any pictures b/c we were laughing so hard so she would jump on our bed and play around calling it 'her bed'. We always play a game calling her bed 'Mommy's bed' and she runs to get into it before I can, (that's how we get her to go to bed). Here are the funny pictures of the sponge curlers.
This is my favorite one.

In the end it turned out really cute. We had to put the front up and shake it up a lot. She felt like a princess, which to us she is. She loved her hair, and wants me to do it all the time now. I think she really wants it done b/c she gets to watch a movie. But we still love her just the same.

We just had to Laugh!

Long after we put Dyalnn to bed, around 11pm. Danny and I decided it was time to go to bed.
We came up stairs to find this...

And this...Align Center

and this totally asleep...

It is kinda hard to see in the light of the picture
but her whole forehead is white, and all the hair in front is covered in desitin.
She would not wake up, we think she was pretending
b/c she knew she was in trouble. We were so shocked about the whole thing, all we could do was laugh
It made me think of that Americas Funniest Videos, where the little kid put desitin all over his little brother. Except Dylann put it all over her. It looked like she was trying to get it off her hands and really didn't know how.
Kids will be kids.

Yea she is sleeping, she didn't want to sleep in my moms basement.
Gotta have the high chair ones.

Dylann always puts a smile on my face, even when she is sleeping.
When she is sleeping I just want to get her up and play
but I know better than that!!!

HALLOWEEN

We had so much fun we went to the mall the night before trick or treating. Dylann didn't really like the spider at the beginning, but then some other little girls started coming up to touch it and she grabbed it saying 'my itsy spider' and then wouldn't let anyone touch it then. Not paying any attention to me what so ever.I really wanted her hair to be really curly for trick or treating. She let me do her hair like this and kept it in all though her nap, but the only way I could put them in is if I let her watch 'little mermaid'.After we took out the sponge rollers.
The curls didn't last that long. Trick or Treating. she had so much more fun this year, and it was so warm. Which made it more fun. At the end of the night she was done. She didn't want to walk any more. Who could blame her, anyone would want to be carried around like a princess. We had so much fun, we went to my sisters house and they have the best place to go trick or treating. There are so many kids, and most people just sit at the end of their drive way and give out the candy. Dylann loved her outfit so much she wouldn't take it off. Wednesday night was a big fight to take it off to go to bed, then she had to have it on all day on Thursday, we fought at night again, to go to sleep. We ended up hiding it in the closet, and everyday she asks about her princess dress. The only way we could get a dress on her for church, was to have one of the puffy fancy dresses and call it a princess dress, (she carried the dress into me this morning wanting to put it on).
We had 2 Halloween party's to go to, which I was really excited about, Danny didn't really care. But of course we didn't get to go to either one of them, Danny wasn't feeling good for the first one, and then the next weekend, Dylann had a bad cough and runny nose. We didn't want to get all the other kids sick so we didn't get to go. Bummer.
Halloween was a blast though. We now thinking of something fun to do next year,b/c we are not missing out on anything next year.
