Future Black Mail

My kids crack me up. They do the funniest things and the simplest things make them happy.
Dylann loves to dress up or more like wear everything she owns.
She was given some bracelets from my mom, and of course when she puts them on she has to have every single one on. She also has all of her silly bands. She thinks its so cool, she says 'I so cool mommy'
The other thing she does is wear so many clothes at once.
In this picture she has on her pjs, a tutu, her leggings pulled down to her ankles, all of her bracelets, a necklace, which she calls her bracelet and her new Church shoes.
She now wears on top of everything she puts on a dress that my mom made me when I was a kid.
Bruce is one crazy little guy. This is how I found him from a nap.
Some how he got his pants off, and missing a sock.
Another thing Bruce has been into lately is...
this tiara!!
He grabs it and brings it to me and makes me put it on he gets this big huge smile and walks around the house. Then takes it off and brings it back to me.
I just have to laugh at him. I think he knows that he shouldn't be into that, b/c it has taken me forever to get a pic of him with it on.
This one isn't bad it is just cute, went to the new Firehouse Subs here, it is so yummy. Well when you go they give all the kids fire hats. The kids where so happy about it. Dylann loves it and had to get one for her bunny to wear too. Bruce loves to wear it, almost more than the tiara. Danny likes it b/c Bruce is wearing a boy hat instead of a tiara.
(disclaimer, Danny really didn't want me to put up the pic of the tiara but, I think it is too cute, sorry love)

Silly Dylann

Dylann is our little crazy girl. She is 3 going on 16, our little 3 year old teenager.
My mom came over the other day and right away Dylann asked to have some lipstick.
Well my mom did one better, she let her put some powder on, and use the mirror.
While we were talking, Dylann had some other things on her mind.
We looked over at her and this is what we found...
We could not stop laughing, she had this funny face, thinking she is so cool or something.

Then that night when she was supposed to be sleeping we found this...
all the animals lined up in the tube after her bath.
 and this...
Well I guess we are no longer doing naps any more,
b/c she stays up and plays in the bathroom.
I love being a mom!!

So awhile ago I was asked to give an interview for the Columbus Parents Magazine. They were doing an article on SIDS, and they wanted to interview someone who has had a premie and ask them about what went on with them.
I was all excited for it, and totally up for it. It brought back a lot of old memories about my little Dlyann. If you don't already know she was 8 weeks early, and had to spent 3 weeks in the NICU. So we were really worried about her for a long time. We had to do a lot of different thing to keep her healthy. When we were finally able to bring her home we were not a loud to bring her anywhere. We had to keep her away from kids, and any one who had the tiniest cold. The 2 places the doctor said that no matter what we were not aloud to go was church and movie theaters b/c, they are filled with germs. So we did what we were supposed to do.
Anyways back to the interview. It just came out. I think it turned out really good. Dylann looks so cute in the picture, and its not my best, but whatever, its manly about her. If you want to read it go here. I am just so grateful that that time in my life is over. I learned a lot and I just hope that I don't have to go through it again.

Just born 5-18-2007
3 1/2 years
I just love this crazy girl

Happy Birthday Bruce

Bruce just turned 1 yesterday. I can't believe it, this year has gone by way to fast.
We call Bruce 'the moose' so what better way to celebrate his birthday but with a moose party!!
So I made moose cupcakes for him, they took so much time, but they turned out so cute!!
Here is our little moose in action, we were trying to take pictures, but of course he has to put his head back and give his cheesy smile, so this is the best we got. Like his shirt I made this too, with the 1 on it.
Bruce really wanted to get in on the food but he had a whole cake waiting for him.
Present time, he was so funny, he didn't really want them. He wanted the paper, he is also really shy. We had my whole family over, so in our little house it seemed like a lot of people. I think he was just really overwhelmed. He loved his toys though. I think Dylann thinks they are hers, b/c she wants to play with them all the time. When ever we tell her to let Bruce play with HIS toys she always says "Bruce play for a little bit, then I get to play"
So we were really strict with our kids, NO SUGAR BEFORE THEY TURN ONE!! Yea I know we are so mean, but hey whatever they really don't need it. Well since it was Bruce's birthday we let him have some sugar. We let him suck on a sucker for a little bit, after my 2 sisters gave their babies suckers, 9 months and 3 months. We had to get the 3 of them with there suckers, Clark was just licking it just a little bit, then Bruce he just really wanted to eat the stick part, and then there is Bryn, this girl is an old pro, she has been having candy and chocolate since she was born, She knows how to do it.
Getting ready for his cake, like the bow tie, I made it just for this, He looked so cute.
Here he is with his cake, he was a little into it at first but like I said he is really shy. He really wanted me to be with him, but that was not what I wanted. I just kept putting him back, he liked the ears for a little bit.
Checking out the ears a little more
Then he was so mad that I put his hand in the cake, he did not like it one bit, b/c it wouldn't come off. I think it scared him that it just stuck to his hand. I tried to put some in his mouth, he just screamed it out. Then I sat him down with the cake in between his legs and he got right up and walked in it to me screaming. So of course I had to hold him. He was covered in cake and frosting...
So that means I was covered in cake and frosting, I still loved it, he is such a good cuddlier. I love this little guy, I am sorry you didn't like your cake Bruce.
Happy Birthday to our little man, you have been the such an important part of our family. Thank you for you smiles, your silliness, your willingness to do what ever your crazy mom wants you to do.
Happy 1st birthday Bruce.

Favorite new Toy

This little guy is the best!!! He loves everything.
He always wants to have my phone, and talk to daddy.
He is so cute about it, he holds the phone up to his ear,
well it ends up on the back of his head, but at least he is trying.
Well he now has a new favorite toy...
Yea that's right its a naked Snow White
He wants to chew on her feet
He will carry this barbie around all day if I let him.
he screams when I take it way.
This little crazy girl, who had to pose for like 80 pics with her blue tongue hanging out, doesn't care.
She doesn't really like Snow White,
If Bruce were to take any other one of her toys she would freak out
but Snow White she could care less.
Why? you ask well
She doesn't like her b/c she has black hair
yea weired I know she only likes her blonde barbies
b/c they look like her. She is so weird
So Bruce you can keep it up... keep chewing up that foot.
Love you silly kids
Plus Bruce is now a walker!!!!

New Project

I just finished a new project, I am really happy with the way it turned out.
I have been collecting frames for almost a year. I wanted really different ones.
I also didn't want to spend a lot of money on them.
I think I spent 5 bucks at the most on one frame,
A lot of them were free too, can't really beat that
Here is the before, trying to figure out the lay out
Here is the after on the wall. I love it.
I know its all over the blog world, but I love it, I am going to add a brown P to it
We have it up in our kitchen, I am just in love with it.

Big NEWS!!!

I am not pregnant!!!
I just had to clear that up before I started.
I was asked to do an interview with the
Columbus Parents Magazine.
A friend of mine is friends with the girl that is writing an article about SIDS.
I know kinda sad, but she wanted to put a little spin at the end.
About a premie baby and how they are now, now that they are out of the scary SIDS time.
So my friend told her about me and Dylann.
I am really excited about it. I just got interviewed today.
The issue comes out in March.
And the best part, they are going to put in a picture of me and Dylann in it. We are going to get pictures done by thier photoagher.
Wow that is so exciting.
People are going to be reading about my story.
They might also put pictures of Dylann when she was first born.

I will let you know when it comes out.
We will be buying a lot of this copy. I can't wait.
